Residing in Charlotte, Angela works full time as a marketing coordinator and is also a journalist, freelance writer, and creative writing instructor with a B.A. and M.S. in Journalism and Mass Communication and an M.F.A in Creative Writing.

She empowers writers to pen their stories and share them with the world. In 2020 she received an ASC Inaugural Emerging Creator Fellowship and an ASC Cultural Vision grant. Her work can be found in publications such as CourierNewsroom.com, Beautiful Truths literary magazine, Library Journal, The Charlotte Observer, Change Seven literary magazine and Charlotte’s African American lifestyle magazine, Pride where she is the Book Reviewer.

Her essays are featured in the anthologies, The Image in the Mirror and Unspoken.
